Swiss National Day 2021

Let’s celebrate the Swiss National Day together!
Dear Compatriots and Friends,
The 1st of August, our Swiss National Day, is approaching! The Swiss Society of the Kansai cordially invites you and your guests to attend the celebration party at the Kobe Club. As last year, the event will be held indoor in the Ballroom of the Kobe Club.
Due to Covid-19, we ask all participants to adhere to common social distancing rules. From our side, we will provide alcoholic hand sanitizer at the entrance and will reduce the number of seats per table. Furthermore, there will be a sit-down dinner to comply with Covid-19 rules.
We ask you to refrain from joining our event if you do not feel well on the day. Late cancellations will be accepted. Let us all stay safe!
Our program:
17:00 Reception and Apéro (wine generously offered by the Swiss Embassy)
17:30 Opening address by Philip Spaelti (President of the Swiss Society of the Kansai) – Recorded speech of the Federal President and Swiss National Anthem, followed by the Japanese National Anthem
Address by Juerg Bono, Counsellor, Head of Operations and Consular Services Section at the Swiss Embassy in Tokyo
17:45 Swiss style sit-down dinner prepared by the Chef of the Kobe Club with free-flowing drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, and tea)
19:30 Tombola – Each participant gets a free tombola ticket at the entrance. This might be your lucky day!
Please use public transportation if you plan to drink alcohol!
