The Swiss Society of the Kansai was founded in 1979 for the purpose of promoting Swiss tradition and culture: exchange and understanding among Swiss people in the Kansai area.
We are a non-political, non-profit organization. We aim to further the relationship between Swiss nationals themselves with their homeland, particularly through “The Organization of the Swiss Abroad (OSA)”, and with Japan.
We organize a regular program of events, generally including:
- a Swiss National Day celebration — on the 1. August
- a December event including Raclette and a visit from Santa Claus
- BBQs in Spring and Autumn
- an annual General Meeting
